Tribal Fire - WIP

This is what I am working on these days... A tribal inspired bellydance outfit.

The top is dupiony silk and fully lined, the cut is inspired from cholis. It closes in the back with lacing. Closer view of the top : [link]

The belt is made from two indian shisha mirror belts, which I have modified by shortening one to wear in front, handmade tassels from multicolored yarn and metal beads. Back view of the belt : [link] Anybody would like a tassel making tutorial ?

The skirt is tiered and made of organza (eeevil thing to sew - but I like how it turned out), with the top part made of the same silk than the top - I hate elastic waistbands - and laced on both sides.

Left to do : open the armpits of the top, because it is so well adjusted I cannot lift my arms over my head. Make harem-style pants to go under the skirt (dark red fabric, with dark red silk ankle bands instead of elastics). Add some ornementation (coins ?). Replace the ties of the belt with nicer ones. Make a matching veil (same material than pants). Headdress (maybe).
