Yes indeed. Though we feel we are the only serious vikings around here. We have a lot of great 15th century groups, but my husband and I are are interested in 10th century norse culture. Unfortunately, most of the other vikings we meet are not really interested in going forward with an historical approach.

There is a rather extensive reenactment-community around here. From what i have been able to gather rennaiscance fairs are more popular overseas. ;)
If you would like serious viking-groups (and want to travel for it) there are a lot of shows going on all over scandinavia during summer, but also in England.
